What Materials Survive Dubai's Interior Heat?
The inside of a car parked in Dubai's sun can exceed 70 degrees Celsius. At that temperature, low-quality synthetic leather cracks and peels, cheap adhesives fail, and thin fabrics fade. Genuine leather holds up well if it's conditioned regularly, but it gets hot to the touch without seat covers or tinted windows. High-quality synthetic leather with UV-resistant coatings is a practical alternative that handles the heat better and requires less maintenance. Alcantara and suede look great but absorb moisture and stain more easily, so they need more care. We advise on material choice based on how you use the car and how much maintenance you're willing to do.
Why Headliners Sag in Dubai (and What to Do About It)
The headliner is a fabric panel glued to a foam-backed board on the inside of the roof. Dubai's heat breaks down the adhesive over time, causing the fabric to detach and sag. This is extremely common on cars over five to seven years old, especially those parked outdoors. Re-gluing with spray adhesive is a temporary fix that usually fails again within months. A proper repair involves removing the headliner board, stripping the old fabric and adhesive, and bonding new material with heat-resistant automotive adhesive. We replace the full headliner rather than patching it, because partial repairs always show.
Interior Modification vs Restoration: What's the Difference?
Interior restoration returns the cabin to its original factory condition: same material, same colour, same layout. Interior modification changes it to something different: new material, new colour, different layout, added features. Both involve similar skills and processes, but the goal is different. Restoration preserves originality (important for resale value on certain cars). Modification personalises the car to your taste. Material Selection and Prep
For interior work, you choose the material, colour, and finish. We source the upholstery, trim pieces, and components, then strip the interior surfaces that need work. For exterior customization, we prep the body: masking, sanding, primer, and any body repair needed before paint or modification.
Build and Install
Interior panels, seats, and trim are reupholstered, repaired, or replaced in the workshop. Exterior work goes through our spray booth for paint, or is fitted and adjusted on the car. Everything is test-fitted, adjusted for proper alignment and finish, and installed with the same attention we give to factory-standard work.
Final Check and Handover
We inspect every detail: stitch lines, panel gaps, paint finish, alignment, and function. You see the car before handover. If you want anything adjusted, we handle it before you leave.
