Tyres take the brunt of Dubai's heat and rough braking. A few habits make them last noticeably longer.
Tyres are one of the few parts of your car in constant contact with the road, and in Dubai's climate they wear differently than in cooler countries — hot asphalt softens rubber and accelerates tread wear, especially on high-speed roads.
Habits That Extend Tyre Life
- Check pressure monthly, and always before a long drive — underinflation is the single biggest cause of premature wear
- Avoid harsh, late braking where possible; it flat-spots tread and heats the rubber unevenly
- If you get stuck in sand, rock the car gently rather than spinning the wheels, which digs in deeper and overheats the tyre
- Rotate tyres roughly every 8,000–10,000 km to even out wear across the set
Watch for uneven wear patterns — they usually point to an alignment or suspension issue rather than the tyres themselves. Catching that early saves you from replacing a set of tyres twice as often as you should need to.
Every oil change at our workshop includes a free tyre check as part of the standard inspection, so problems get flagged before they turn into a blowout.
