An AC system that's fine in April can struggle by August. A little upkeep keeps it performing through peak summer.
Air conditioning works harder in Dubai than almost anywhere, and small inefficiencies that don't matter in mild weather become very noticeable once it's 48°C outside.
Keeping It Performing
- Replace the cabin filter roughly every 12,000–15,000 km, or sooner after a dusty period
- Run the AC for a few minutes even on days you don't drive much — stagnant systems develop mould faster
- Get refrigerant levels checked yearly; a slow leak is common and easy to miss until cooling drops off
- Park in shade when you can — it reduces the initial heat load the system has to fight
If cooling has noticeably weakened compared to a few months ago, that's rarely something that fixes itself — it's worth a gas pressure check before peak summer arrives, not during it.
